Small Rust Patch in Roof

I have noticed a small rust patch in the roof where water is getting in, it isn't much but it's enough!

In my inexperience I have just put some sealant on the roof to cover it up but I guess that isn't a good long-term fix?

I suppose the only thing to do is to have it cut out and replaced?

Rub it down to clean metal, treat with a rust kill product, either cut a metal patch slightly larger & tiger seal it on & paint or use fiberglass mating & gel it on & paint, if it's on the roof no one's going to be looking at it, i have a couple of patches on mine, been there for four years with no problems.

Ah, that all sounds great...

I had though that a fiberglass kit would be the way to go, the patch looks like it is part of a line that goes the width of the roof, at the back, near the rear doors.

Could you recommend a rust eating product and perhaps a fiberglass kit?
