Problem with Electric Windows and Trailer hook up??

Can anyone help. 2006 Transit. Electric windows working on & off. Also when I put a trailer on the left hand light cluster on the trailer is constantly lit even uif the engine is switched off... Coincidence or not? Two separate problems maybe... Fuses seem oK as does the window switch. thanks in advance, Rob

First thing to do its open up trailer socket and check for damage/ corrosion
