Mk7 engine trouble

Postby rob hall » Fri May 06, 2016 11:04 pm

Hi my mk7 130bhp fwd tourneo put a hole in a piston at xmas ,
So i took the engine out and rebuilt it i.e 4 new pistons and rings, new valves, complete engine gasket set . After refitting the engine the engine was running lovely for a hour or so. Then suddenly the engine cuts out and it strugled to restart again . When it finally started i opened the bonnet to to find out i have preasure coming out of my oil filler cap .
I have removed the engine and striped it down but cant find a fault ! Has anyone on here had a similar problem ?

Almost certainly injector washers/clamps

I hope you had injectors checked if they are the ones that melted the piston

the reason it was cracked holed is because the injectors are faulty when you rebuilt the engine did you also do the pump/injector learns and rest all counters etc :!:
