No heating (mk7) ex BG van

Postby jimi » Wed May 11, 2016 8:21 pm

Hi Guys

For some time now I have had no hot air coming into the cabin so I called a mechanic for him to fix it.
He changed the heater control valve and the thermostat housing charged me a good bit of money and I still have no heat into the cabin.
I decided to have a go myself so I flushed the heater matrix and it come out clean.
I done a electrical test and found that the blend door actuator was not moving.
I tested the potentiometer the first wire had 12volts,the second had variable voltage and the third had no voltage.
This is where I had made a mistake I put voltage to the third terminal and now I have no voltage to terminal one.
I think I have blown a fuse but I can find it on any of the 3 fuse boxes so I am really stuck can anyone please help?

It's listed as the Ac fuse
Fuse 50 behind the glove box

It's probably corroded tracks at the back of the heater control knob
I dismantled mine and cleaned it up two years ago, and it's still working

Thanks for the reply but fuse f50 is for the lights i have checked all the a/c fuses and they are all intact.
I am really lost as I cant find out where the fuse is.

Does anyone know why I have no voltage to the temp dial or is there a wiring diagram anywhere getting a bit fed up with being cold all the time.

It turns out that the blend door actuator had given up so got another one and everything works fine.
