Transit roof rack removal

Postby Jonno1980 » Wed Jun 22, 2016 6:32 pm

I have a swb transit which is ex bt. It still has the roof rack with pipe tube and ladder rollers. It looks to all be bolted down by four bolts through the rack and can roof. Any recommendations on removing it and plugging the holes ?
Cheers

Either use grommets and sealer to fill the holes, or put the bolts back in

I used patches of bitumen flashing tape straight over the holes on mine and it's been leak free for 18 months so far.

Just clean the area and make sure you heat the tape up before you press it down.
