Who has the latest IDS running

Was just wondering what the latest version of IDS you guys have got working with the Vcm clones.

I dropped my last one in a pool of water and was running v86or so now with the latest one I ordered its trying saying the software firmware on the box is newer than the ids so I'm looking for a workable newer version would like about v98.

There is a load of US versions which I've had working on VMware but struggling to find a suitable one so I can work on the newer transits.

Read through the old threads and I think there is an IDS expert on here goes by name of an old newspaper

I'm on v96 with vmware but had to get someone to install it for me

You should be able to roll back your vcm2 so you can run v86.

I would use v86 if you have a mk7 transit tbh, the newer ones are a must for mk8 and customs after 2013 esp i think.

There's v101 last time i checked but you need a new full chip vcm2 clone with newer chip and serial i think to get anything later than v97/8. But I'm on v96, i did try v99 but no dice on my clone

Just wanted to ask you is there a difference with the US versions of are they all the same like when you load it you see cars like "mercury" and stuff.

Yeah your right there upto 101 which I got working but like you said no comm from vcm

I would say that all ids is us because if i go to manual vehicle entry i get the us variants iirc.

But regardless i don't think they're would be any difference since ids uses the vehicle info and shows the menu that works on that vehicle. Ie. No option for pump learn when you connect to a transit mk6 tddi but it is available on the mk7.

So the menu relates to the vehicle

Right I got you loot. Just tried a v97 install got it loaded and everything just getting the classic database does not match the software etc.

Ideally I did not want to roll back my vcm as it seems like a shame but will have to if don't find a workable solution today.

You can get any version of ids working but the problem is that they won't connect to the pcm on the newer fords

Eg my v96 has linked to a mk8 64 plate tipper but i don't know about 65 or 16 plates. Think i need 98/99.

If you have a mk7 as said and don't plan on using it for money on newer ones then use v86.

Version of ids only adds newer vehicles and not necessarily adds functions.

Right got you. So you say your running v96 I guess you got a mate or someone to help you Install on teamviewer?

I would really love to be able to connect to the 63 64 trans custom
