Mk6 engine, TDDi or TDCi ?

Postby seanx » Thu Aug 11, 2016 7:26 pm

Hi guys,
My first post here.
Went to look at a 2004 Mk6 Transit today advertised as a TDCi, but couldn't notice a common fuel rail, the pipes seemed to converge and go down to the pump, so it got me wondering what kind of engine it is or not?
Engine number on the log book is: 4G60035

Cheers,
Sean

The vast majority of Mk6 Transits are TDDi, only the 125ps FWD, and 135ps RWD are TDCi engines.

If there are no electrical plugs on the injectors, then it will be a TDDi
1994 Mk4 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (R.I.P.)
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered
