Left window open, now flat bettery???

Postby Ian58 » Sun Sep 18, 2016 9:28 am

My I left the driver's window open for two days on my diesel Courier.

Now the battery is flat - that's what I'm assuming since all instrument cluster lights came on when I turned the ignition with clicking and unnerving flicking and vibrating of pointers on tachometer and speedo dials!

Battery voltage was 10.5-ish volts and on charge now.

Is the open-window incident just coincidence or did it trigger something that drained the battery? The van is not yet 12 months old.

Thanks.
