Heating/cooling problem

Postby ian823478 » Sat Sep 24, 2016 12:16 pm

Hi folks
I have a 2007 van converted to a campervan. It has aircon, but the problem is with the basic heating and cooling. Sometimes when the temperature knob is set to fully cold, hot air blows out. It has sometimes come ok when I've wiggled the temperature knob, so I'd like to take the potentiometer off to clean the contacts - I read one topic here where this fixed the problem. The Haynes manual doesn't seem to cover the aircon version in detail, and I'm struggling to see how to remove the potentiometer without removing the whole facia. I've had the centre piece off that goes round the gear lever. I'm also struggling to find the air blend doors. I'll attach a few pics.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Ian

Remove the single screw that holds the potentiometer in and it removes from the control panel
