2009 2.2 transit starting problem

Hi, I have a 2009 swb transit 2.2 mileage 150,000 and am having trouble starting in the morning due to air in the system, once it’s started it runs OK. Have changed the fuel filter housing, the air seems to be coming in between the fuel filter and injectors (no obvious fuel leaks), any suggestions of what the problem is?

I think you've half answered your own question....check/remove/replace all the lines from filter housing to the pump....lines from pump to injectors will be under pressure, many 1000's of psi... if they're leaking, you'll know it. Also check the lines from tank to filter housing..

Thanks for the reply, will be checking and replacing pipes etc. as needed.

Just to update that the problem has been fixed, after the pipes were changed things were still not quite right, the mechanic phoned Ford and a computer update was given for the starting motor, once that was done everything was alright.
