Burton power in essex really helpful. Bit pricy but reliable as heck and very knowledgeable. Used em for essex v6 stuff

well it looks like this engine rebuild plus new clutch is going to cost me £1500 fitted....is it worth it? considering i only paid £720 for the van...maybe yes if it runs like a new one..fingers crossed

Sounds a figure that assumes all the ancillaries are working well, carb, pipes, cooling system, braking system may catch you out. Little things like new engine mounting rubbers soon add up too. Personally I would budget another £1k on top of that and you're quids in if you don't need it. 3k for a classic still puts you well in at the moment...if you have 3 grand

Is that a complete rebuild or just fix the broken bits?

Try getting any motor for less than a grand that actually dont need money throwing at it. Ypu could spend 3k on a "decent" modern van only to fi d out its rusting inside to out and all sorts of fault codes... least if you soend wedge on ur motor you will know exactly what needs doing and what is sound!
