Tapping top end ?

My 2006 135 has done this for a couple years and I've just looked at a 2008 to buy which sounds the same. Seems to keep going despite tapping for years. I've read on here what's probably wrong with it but how much roughly does it cost to fix ?
I don't know wether to buy this 2008.

That could be anything from low oil pressure to worn timing chain, camshafts, h/lifters,,, unless you're getting it dirt cheap and have money to spend on whatever, best to find a quiet one, I've got a 2.2 which has 291,750mls on it and it isn't tappy so I'd stay clear unless you don't mind the work or the £'s to sort
