TPUK 'genuine' SCV

Postby maccmowers » Mon Nov 28, 2016 9:32 pm

Has anyone bought an IMV (inlet metering valve) or SCV (suction control valve) from Transit Parts UK on ebay? (same part - different names)

I bought a 'genuine' Denso valve, it came in a Denso box with Citroen badges on it, which isn't a problem as I know the 2.4 tdci is fitted to other makes of vehicle.
Inside the box, the valve was inside a heat sealed bag with a shiny hologram type sticker on the valve itself saying 'warranty void if removed'.

My query is that in the same order I bought a none genuine PRV (pressure relief valve) from them and it had the EXACT same sticker on it.

Why would they open a genuine box, put a warranty sticker on a genuine Denso part, seal it up and put it back in the box if it was genuine in the first place?

Anyone else had an experience like this? The new SCV/IMV didn't say Denso on it, but neither did the one I removed, although I have no way of knowing if the one I removed was genuine either.

It was fitted about a month ago so can't really give you one. I am only questioning it because I have a problem and now the SCV quality is in question. Here is a picture of the box and the old one if it helps?
