I have. 2004 transit connect and the clock and trip have reset every time I start the van.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Possibly a duff battery, best to get it properly "load" tested to see if it's up to snuff.

Fuse in the engine bay fuse box was missing. Replaced and sorted !
