Battery draining issues - could it be the parrot bluetooth?

Postby joejoyce79 » Tue Nov 29, 2016 11:50 am

Hi folks,

I bought a 2005 transit MWB medium height just over a week ago from a main dealer - before I brought it home it had all it's service and mot etc and they put a new battery on it. When I got it home, I didn't drive it for a few days (less than a week) went to take it for a spin only to find the battery is completely flat?? not what I would expect from a new battery and even the central locking has given up it's that flat!! - but the only light still on is that on the parrot bluetooth even with no key in the ignition - just wondering if this has happened to anyone else before and whether it's likely to be that? I've read of people installing them incorrectly on to main electrical feeds etc

So I'm thinking of uninstalling it anyway before trying to boost my battery to see if it is this - any advice on how to get it out and what I may need to be careful around...thanks in advance (total novice and new to ford transit vans!)

I had a car years ago that kept draining the battery, it was a stuck relay. The relay was slightly warm to the touch could be worth checking all the relays.
Some people are like slinkies.... not good for much but bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

My parrot switches off with the key, so something wrong there anyway.
