It's the software which does the work, the F-Super is just a connector between the vehicle and PC/laptop...

I use an elm 327 thriugh forscan on the wifes laptop

You get the program with it I think its formidable but I believe the elm 327 with forscan is better for more in-depth detail.
F-super is good for code reading, injector programming ect. N
