Open Door Sensor's 2007 130T260

Postby bclg » Tue Jan 17, 2017 8:00 pm

Can anyone tell me where the Sensor / Switches are that trigger the interior light and open door sensor for the front door's on my 2007 2.2 Transit 130T260. Currently the light on the dash is saying a door is open even though none are - consequently when I lock the Van via the key in the lock it lock's and then unlock's immediately as it is seeing a door open. The sliding door sensor is readily visible but the rear door sensor is not - where is that one also.

When I lock the van as above the rear door does lock and remain so - that is why I expect the front door sensor is the item at issue.

Front door ajar switches are part of the door locking mechanisms, side door has a pin switch near the 3 contact pad thing, rear door is in the mechanism.

High spec clocks will say what door is ajar, low speed clocks i think just illuminate an amber lamp on the speedo.

Common fault is the front door mechanism failing, side door contacts dirty or not touching or broken pin switch, rear actuator failing or the wiring loom breaks where it passes through the door to body conduit or thereabouts. :-)
