Mk8 alloys on mk7 van fitting problems.

Postby Mr G » Fri Feb 10, 2017 10:18 pm

HI there.
I own a 2008 lwb high roof (110bhp) Transit and have done for 6 months.
The steel wheels are well rusty and tyres are bald.
I've bought some 2nd hand alloys which were fitted to a newish Mk8 transit.
The guy also gave me the alloy wheel nuts to go with them, however they do not fit onto my mk7 studs.
Can anyone help please.
I've looked at pics of Transits on the web and can see plenty of mk7 with Mk8 alloys.
Thanks again
Mr G

As Ake said, they are different thread pitches as I found out when I fitted my custom wheel to my Mk7.

These are the ones I bought.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281863249811? ... EBIDX%3AIT
