   The 125 door badge is great, at the light people think ooow that vans got power :D then you pull away and it cuts out and people then know you have a tdci :(

I dare say its going to need injectors and possibly a new pump

After getting the code read, the answer was the fuel system was loosing pressure, then the computer would cut the motor.
happen three times today,,,,, just stop turn the key to off and we can restart the motor.
Has any body had this problem , we are after comments .Thanks Kiwi

Yep have that problem all the time  Do you know what the codes were?

Welcome to the fun world of the mk6 tdci

Check the fuel filter for swarf, do an injector leak back test. I say you'll need a set of injectors and possibly a fuel pump. N

Had this problem too on a 2003 TDCI.

we've never got to the bottom of it but a couple of people suggested the fuel filter needed replacing. When I looked in the owners manual about fuel filter it pointed me in the direction if a device under the bonnet to test the filter. In a nut shell, to use this device to test the filter you have to run the van, in neutral, at full revs for 3seconds. That was a long 3 seconds!! I thought the engine was going to explode!! Anyway, tester indicated that filter was OK and since then van has run ok. It's almost as though there was a bit of crap somewhere in the fuel system and revving it's nuts off cleared it away.

Might be worthy checking your fuel filter before spending out on injectors which will cost hundreds.

Good luck!

It needs injectors, they always do.

The leakback will be excessive causing the low pressure

It is not... correct answer. What errors have you?

If injectors are worn-out, it is error P0251, or P1211 or both.
Check IMV valve on injection pomp with working engine. You need good tester (IDS) and good diagnostician. You drive van, diagnostician keeps IDS laptop on his knees and looks for rail pressure. Standard procedure.

Probably the whole fuel system needs a flush out if the pump was duff, including tank, filter head and all lines etc.. :?

In march 2017 this 2005 had new pump new injector and has been running ok, until it started to miss fire, re two of the new injectors because the ohm reading were all different. start transit go to Rally , stay the night, start transit run of the blocks turn motor off. Restart motor and it missed fired , then stopped . I restarted it and it miss fired again. Now the engine will not start and is on the Back of a transportor of the the Mechanic. Please can any body have any ideas , just about to sell this thing. IT was a nice motorhome 2005 135 common rail motor.
