Ford Transit lack of power

Postby willsy23 » Mon Mar 13, 2017 9:50 pm

I have a 2.4 lwb high top transit t350 2004

van runs and drives, starts fine but has a massive lack of power.
runs on 3000 limp home rev limit and struggles up hill a lot 20 mph at most
had a new egr, dual mass sensor, fuel filters,

went to a mechanic once where he took a pipe off and it went a lot better for a little while but now back to the same,
think it was the vacuum pipe to the egr,

any ideas?????

Fuel pump! Went on my 03 90t350, no warning lights but bought a cheap reader of eBay for about £20 which revealed various codes! It would go about 50mph but took ages to get there and only did about 20mph up hills. Had a fuel pump fitted and it was fine, could also check fuel filter, I think that can cause similar problems!
