mot wheel arches

i,ve got a hole at the top of my wheel arch . it appears to be were a joint is.could I clean this up & fill with filler or is it clased as structural & I,ll haft to get it welded.
its about 3inches long & a inch wide.mot is due next month. cheers gramps

I think that they can only fail it on sharp edges so may be ok

forgot to mention, its inside the wheel arch up the top.

If its within 30cm of a load bearing area then it will fail (steering / suspension / brake components / seatbelts)

If in doubt just weld it mate
cut the rust out weld new metal in jobs a good yin
