2001 ford Transit 2.4 duratorq lwb chassis cab

Postby cyberjack » Wed Mar 22, 2017 3:27 pm

Hi There ... Can anyone tell me if the engine from a long wheel base rwd panel van is the same as the one in my 2001 Transit luton body chassis cab ? they are both 2.4 litres .. reason i am asking is that i think the enginge in my old van is Toast ( still starts and drives but smokes blue on startup and rattles badly and wont pull for sh*t ) it also has low oil pressure ( oil light flickering and staying on until u rev the nutz of it ( i have already changed the oil and filter )it has star trek miles on it as well ! ....Thing is I can buy a cheap Panel van, rear wheel drive with gearbox issues fairly cheap but no point if it will need a lot of modifying to make it do .. Any Thoughts guys ?
I once shot an elephant in my pyjamas ... How it got in my pyjamas i will never know !
