no main beam on mark 7 (2008)

Postby skin493 » Sat Mar 25, 2017 12:04 am

Can anyone help me with my ongoing problem? when I flash my headlights the blue light comes on the dash but the main beam doesn't kick in, instead the headlights go off and I am left with just side lights, I can hear the relay working which I might had I have checked out along with all the fuses ,plus I have also changed the indicator stalk, needless too say I'm at a complete loss now and running out of ideas.

Continuity test the wires for main beam all along to see where short is. If you want to give yourself a confidence boost, run a trace wire from relay to bulb and should light up. You also know what section to test!
