Transit will not lock

No doors would lock on the transit 85 T260. This followed the seat beat being caught in the locking post on the passenger side door. The doors wouldn't lock either with the key or with the central locking remote, it all seemed dead.
This was cured by removing briefly the fuse for the central locking and refitting it, it hadn't blown, but this must reset the system and all was good after this.
The fuse is located under the steering wheel just above the pedals, it's the blue one on the right hand side. See the image.

This is for the mk6 2000-2006.
mk7 2006on don't have the fuses.
Any lock that is unable to close fully should cause the locking to reject.
