Transit mk6 - cable to rear door catch unattached Plz Help!

Postby soulysurfer » Mon May 22, 2017 12:05 am

Hello Transiteers!

The passenger side (opened second) Door latch broke on my van. So i bought a new handle and latch. I fitted it, and it worked fine. But unfortunately the cable became unattached from the catch down inside the panel. So now the door is shut and I can't open it or re-attach the cable (poor access).

If anyone knows what to do in this situation it would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

Josh

The only thing you can do is take door panel off and get your hand or something in to try and press the part the cables goes to open the door then unbolt the catch, connect cable and build back up, there's no secret way of opening it
