Gear stick knob top

Having recently bought a 2007 2.4 Duroteq diesel without a handbook and the top of the gear knob missing I need to know if its a 5 or 6 speed box in order to buy the part . Can anybody help with this information please?

Mk7 2.4's didn't come in 74ps so I'm guessing you mean 74kw..?? Which would mean you have a 100ps beast. They only come in 100, 115 & 140ps.

If you do indeed have a 100ps beast she's "probably" a 5 speed MT75 box....I "think" mostly only the 115 & 140 were 6 speed MT82 box.
