Mk6 75ps transit non start/turn over. Fault codes are:

Postby Harrygm » Thu Jun 08, 2017 8:33 am

No key code
Memory config failure (airbag?)
Partial keycode.

Had an auto locksmith come and add a new key to the van etc but immobilizer light still flashes and gives 5 flashes pause 5 flashes.

The van starts because i had to bump it in reverse in order to get home.
I had this problem around a week ago but gave the ignition barrel a few slaps and it worked fine for the last few days until now.

Wtf do i do now and how do i establish weather fuel edu is nackered or if its something stupid or if my ecu is nackered

Any help would be most alpreciated.
Thankyou

Ok so heres what ive got so far.
I had the engine mount cha ged yesterday.....just seen that the earth to one of the wores from the + to tge fuses under the bonnet was disconected. Ive re conected it and i have the same problem except now my oil and handbrake light are working wich i didnt even realise werent worki g yesterday.
So can runinng the engine without the earth connected damage the ecu?

I think the op is talking about the glow plug fuse link wire. Think it should read,
The wire from the + to the fuse box under the bonnet is disconnected

Surely if the immobiliser light is flashing 5 times that mean immobiliser fault code 5, I'll have a looksy and see if there is a code 5 :) N

Not found code 5 but have found 15, does the light flash once, break then flash 5 times?

Found this not sure if its relevant
15 - key not programmed into immo module (reprogram or try different key)

Just had a thought, have a good look at the wiring around the steering column especially the ignition and pats key receiver ring. N
