lucas dsa 947 fuel pump.

Postby jim allardice » Tue Jun 13, 2017 6:19 pm

Hi , Can anyone help. just got a transit bus I,m converting to a camper. It,s fitted with a lucas dsa947 fuel pump witch has just packed in. Been told it can be fitted with a dsa 1096 or 1101 if I change the CDI and accelerator linkage. Is this right. Or can anyone tell me what has to be changed.. thanks.

CDI???? And there is no accellerator linkage to the pump. I think you may have been told porkies.

Unfortunately you will have to fit another DSA947 (or do a swap to a manual throttle pedal bosch pump - which can give more power but is noisier)

Hi MinorMatt,
Did you solve the problem with your Lucas Epic pump DSA947? Mine is broken too and I can't find another pump under €2000. I would like to know if you die replace it with a Bosch pump, or where i can find a revised Lucas Epic pump Ford a decent price.
