Does this look correct as it looks like there shud be something else attached to that round intake pipe?

Nothing to worry about, there should be a pipe that leads to the grill, its about a foot long. Just so it can take air from the outside rather than the engine bay.

Mk6 section looks like mk5 air filter not the same

Below is the mk7 section which looks the same at part number

The bit is just a plastic intake duct that bolts to the slam panel, may help x channel cooler air to the engine, debatable whether important in that respect but certainly not necessary for normal running.
