Odd unattached wire identification

Postby Portafold » Fri Jun 23, 2017 2:00 pm

Hello, I've got a 1990 AutoSleeper (Legend GL) based on a pre-smilie Mk3 Transit, but I can't identify what a lot of the under-bonnet wiring and relays are for.

I have a couple of questions so I'll separate them.

I've found an odd small brown wire, not attached to anything, with nothing close-by that's missing a wire going to it. It comes out of the loom on the nearside of the engine bay, next to the coil and below the left side of the leisure battery.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like the ignition coil has been retired and that's an old cable
