Mot failure... welding required..

Postby Diner Dave » Wed Jun 28, 2017 2:50 pm

Van just failed Mot and now needs welding.. "Suspension spring mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded rear and both sills"..
Does anyone know any decent welders (including mobile) in Buckinghamshire or surrounding area please?
I got two weeks .. tried Burkes engineers at Chinnor... does a great job but it snowed under with work..
My email is david.thomas893@ntlworld.com I can check this email inbox daily.. use it, don't abuse it please..

Sorry our friendly garage is too far away. I hope you find someone who won't charge you and arm and a leg.

Before you fill it you should primer it, otherwise the small amount of steel under the filler isn't really protected by anything other than the filler. Good job though mate.
