No memory after market stereo

Postby rob-1979 » Mon Jul 10, 2017 1:22 pm

Hi all, need some advice please. I have just fitted an after market pioneer stereo in my mark 6 trannny after my original went bang. Eaverything works but i have one problem. There is no memory on the stereo. I set all the radio stations, audio settings etc but as soon as i turn the ignition off and back on bang all reset. I have checked various things online and the colour cables correspond to the wiring diagram for the van... yellow = contant, red = ignition etc so im stumped. normally i would give it a try switching the yellow and red in the stereo connection block but if they seem to correspond i dont see much point especially knowing how fiidly it is getting them out.
any ideas please?

Try swapping the power cables around, as i had this when I fitted my Parrot kit to my Mk7, i swapped the power cables around and it all works fine now
