Topic about car oils is as Loch Ness Monster theme. Talk about it is never ending.
However for
all engines with turbocompressor most appropriate are full synthetic oils 5W/50. In countries with strong winter maybe are better full sythetic oils 0W/40.
Ford recommend 5W/30, but it is absolute minimum, good looking in advertising as economic solution for potential fleet clients. Nothing more good.
Oil 5W/50 is good especially in long work in high temperature - it is Australia in my imagination....
Real PAO full synthetic oil is more expensive than standard oils, but it can work with longer car mileage. I change Mobil 1 every 10k miles, but it is typical city driving. In long routes it can be 15k miles.
But "full synthetic" is a marketing term and is not a measurable quality. Look for:
