Mk7 2.2 Knocking

Guys hope your well,

Have a problem with my transit.
Bought it off my mate a while back as it needed a Engine.

Replaced engine (not sure if Injectors went in right way from old), changed oils and filters and it's been running fine the last 5 months.

It did have a EML light.
Took it to a garage to check. Garage said it's EGR fault.

I Replaced EGR, and plastic pipe heading down to large rubber pipe as that was clogged up and sensor full of black soot!!

Put back together, EML disappeared. Thinking this is good, took for a drive and it started knocking after 1.5mile.

Now knocks straight away.

EGR don't need coding do they.
Have bought cheap IDS software and it's installed but it won't let me run a Injector / fuel pump learn.

What you reckon.

Guys had another physical look at it with it running and you could see the right side Injector clamp lifting with pressure from Injectors, bolt loose!

Re tightened and no bother, waited until she was cold and still no issue.

My concern is, I have tightened before so why come loose again. I made sure the bolt was tight both times. No EML lights now, would it be the injectors that might need re programming being the cause.

It's a common problem, caused by the soppy little M6 bolt trying to hold down 2 high pressure injectors

To do the job properly, you need to remove the injectors, renew the copper seals, reaming the seats if they're damaged, and bolt them back in with new clamps and bolts. Have a search around on here, there's lots of info on doing this
