Fuel pressure dropping!!!!!!

Postby Big_jeff88 » Fri Sep 08, 2017 11:08 am

Guys I've got a mk7 (56) transit 130bhp fwd love it, recently been on a long drive with it and was brilliant apart from it started to not wanna start hot or cold, so friend plugged it all in and when turning the van off the fuel pressure drops to 0 and then obviously just turns over, eventually it will start. Ideas of what it could be?

Cheers all

Yes. Faulty fuel suction control valve cause over pressure on fuel rail, which causes pressure relief valve to operate, then fail

Replace both valves, do learns using suitable diagnostic kit and she'll be as good as new
