Hi
Today the power steering light came ON and stayed ON. Has anyone had this same issue? The fluid level is fine at the max. No leaks found. Fuse checked OK. Grateful for ideas if anyone has experienced the same please. Thanks

Anthonys2007 wrote:Ah, my apologies - you are correct. It is actually the Power Train Warning Lamp that is displayed so any advice on that is appreciated - thank you

Anthonys2007 wrote:Yes of course, codes displayed were
P0404 Exhaust gas recirculating control circuit range performance
P0234 Turbo charger / supercharger "A" over-boost condition
Put some revive cleaner through the system and will be using diesel fuel cleaner as soon as it arrives. Heard stories from people who have changed the turbo and still had problems so trying this option first.
Cheers

Normally...an overboost/underboost code is caused by a faulty EGR...pulling them apart and giving them a good old fashioned clean...or replacing EGR if necessary will often see it cured.!!
The PCM is expecting to see a certain amount of manifold pressure at certain engine conditions depending on throttle position, load and RPM..a duff EGR which is stuck open or closed will throw these readings out and in turn throw up a fault code.
