Forscan, Ford-IDS or F-Super....plus an ELM327. Just remember the Mk6 is "NOT" OBD-II compliant.

Forget f-super you want an elm327 and download forscan to a laptop for free scantool-direct.com is recommended by the forscan website for the elm327. N

Might sound a silly question but did you install the drivers ? should have a port driver, mine didn't come with reader I had to download it separately.
I bought the cheap F-super 2 and once driver was installed works fine with forscan, also the chipset in my f-super shows as elm327 so must be similar.

its cabled ,I downloaded drivers and forscan but wouldn't connect to van in fairness I think it is a cheap clone so I downloaded earlier version of forscan, still wouldn't connect to van. so I have since bought the f super2 works with formidable connected it to van and it works. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet but I will over the weekend. thanks to everyone for the help
