broken/burnt out wire

Postby caspersteve » Sun Nov 12, 2017 4:50 pm

hi every body hope your all well.
im just wondering if any body knows what the small wire coming from the positive battery terminal under the bonnet is.
its the terminal under the red cover next to the under bonnet fuse box there is a main battery cable attached to the flat post used for jump lead and a much smaller but still quite heavy gauge wire coming from it as well which disappears into the under bonnet fuse box, its this wire that is broken... it looks to have got hot due to corrosion maybe and has now snapped. I haven't noticed any starting issues or any other electrical faults so im wondering what exactly it is powering??
any help would be greatly appreciated
kind regards all
