Transit 1.8 Connect ECU beyond repair.

Postby Floatmender » Mon Nov 13, 2017 8:45 pm

My ECU has been tested and found not repairable, been told the van must go to ford for new one and programming.
If i get a s/h engine and its ECU and fit both will that work or does the ECU need to be programmed to the van, and the engine.

You need to get an ECU with similar numbers to yours, and then ask someone with Ford IDS (Vantuner for example!) to clone it to your original ECU :)
1994 Mk4 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (R.I.P.)
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered
