MK5 Transit wont start

There is a fusible link built into 1 of the leads going to the battery (cannot remember if +or - ) might be worth checking with a multimeter

This starter motor is screwed, brushed all fused, wire connection snapped internally, full of crud.
Seeing if I can find a second hand one cheapish; do any other engines / vehicles share the same starter motor?
