Hello can I ask for some advice just noticed today when driving up through the gears seem to have lost what I call a second stage in engine power the engine note changes with more power but today nothing, any advice please. Had four injectors replaced last year and a fuel pump and only done since then about 1500 miles. Thanks Graham

the gremlin engine :(

you need to get a full diagnostics done

loss of power can be anything from fuel problem, air filter etc

my advice is take it to someone who knows transits not some garage who will just plug it in and tell you the codes without even giving an explanation of whats going on

also were are you in this big world  :?:

we have a map of people willing to help out

Hello there thanks for the info live in Burton on trent, I am a total Ford man but this van over the last two years has cost so much with injectors in all two sets and now on my second fuel pump the van has only done 156,000 miles and she is 2004. My last van wasn't tdci but the chassis gave up at 245,000 never touched the engine apart from filters ,oil ect. Regards Graham

Transits Mk6 2,0 and 2,4 tdci have not EGR position sensor. So - it is very easy to blind EGR, it is enough to disconnect vacu pipe from EGR and close this pipe. One minute of work. From this time EGR will still closed. Do it and stop think about EGR.

About your problem - look exactly for intake pipes, between turbo and IC and between IC and intake manifold. Look for intake manifold - is it broken. Trace of oil outside pipes it is good sign for pipe leakage.
Look for vacu pipes between electric vacu valve and turbo servo.
Try do easy test. On idle disconnect vacu pipe from turbo - VGT rod should move out from servo to opposite position, after connecting should move back very fast (0,5 sec.).

If rod doesn't move or works lazily, slowly and doesn't stops in extreme positions - check all VGT turbo system.

Well a another week off the road checked injectors number three faulty all oiled up black slime cleaned and tested out all ok and fitted still the same issue, checked the turbo side all working fine fuel pressure sensor replaced, fuel regulator on pump removed and checked over no issues.
Van starts and idles fine but still at about 1700 rpm engine flutters and clouds of smoke I have no idea what is causing this issue along with the garage there are no fault codes evident, this is impacting on my work believe me please any help from you technical guys there is no more I can check ???
