Lock question

Postby terryh14 » Mon Nov 27, 2017 7:48 pm

Hiya .. thank you for excepting me to your forum
I have a 14 plate transit custom. someone tried to break into it, luckily they didn't succeed but screwed the barrell up so it just spins but the central locking on my fob still works .. do I just need to get the bareel changed ? And will I need a new key or can they make the barrel fit my present key as it fits the ignition as well ? Thank you

Welcome :D

You would be well advised to upgrade the lock barrel to a Hykee lock, which are more secure than the standard one :)

Hykee lock has a completely different type of key, hence is more of a challenge to the light fingered fraternity. Fit it with a surrounding bezel, and attacking the lock physically will be hard to do as well.

Remember that you only need to use the key in the door if your C/Locking fails
