Mk6 power steering pump

Postby Jamie2792 » Wed Dec 06, 2017 12:04 pm

Hi I have a mk6 2.0 di swb fwd 03 plate transit and was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this part is the correct pump for my van.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1728098898

The bit that's confusing me is they all say ttdi or tdci where as mines di, old chain one no belt or turbo, Don't think it makes a difference power steering pump but I'm no mechanic just wanted to clarify. Cheers

Di is the older Mk5 engine with a timing belt, the Mk6 engine is overhead cam with a timing chain.
All Mk6 have a Turbo, which is why it's a TDDi rather than a Di. The TDCi is more rare (and more possible trouble)
1994 Mk4 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (R.I.P.)
1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered

Your impression is correct, and if it's 2 litre, it's a front wheel drive, and they ALL have a turbo :)
