hesitation when accelerating?

Im sometimes getting a one or two second hesitation when I try to accelerate from low revs from a roundabout for example. Any ideas? ( other than take it to a Ford garage! )

You don't say but I assume you have a 2010 2.2 Mk7..?? If so you'll need to get the codes read before doing anything. I'd suspect a sticky/faulty EGR first...but it could be many things.
