Oil change in SE London

Postby ollinist » Fri Jan 12, 2018 5:37 pm

Hi,
I'm desperately searching for a shop in SE London to do a Oil & filter change. I don't need the full service.
I visited the National Tyres & autoCare in Greenwich, but unfortunately the van is to high for them.

So I'm looking for a shop who can handle a LWB high roof Transit and the same price region as NTA, ~ 60£.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Piece of cake, lay underneath ( bet that's put you off ) with a container undo sump plug, leave to drain, refit sump plug, change filter & refill with oil, not literally fill though. lol

The work doesn't afraid me, even if it's cold and wet outside to lay below the van, the issue I have is more about the oil disposal. :)

Pour the old oil back into a suitable can and go to your local municipal tip, most will take waste oil. I tip mine into a 30lt plastic container and when full empty it at my tip .

Our local recycling and refuse site (to give it its official name lol) will only let you deposit full receptacles, ie the oil cans. So check that out first.

You could always use the old oil on the underside of the van as rust protection  N
