Timing Belt for a Mark V Transit

Can any one advise if the timing belt is a belt or a chain. Thanks :)

Mk5 diesel?


Belt, 28mm or 25mm depending on age :)

- 1984 - 1991, teeth height 2,5 mm, belt width 25,4 mm (nr 6138677)
- 1991 - 09/1997 teeth height 3,5 mm, belt width 25,4 mm (nr 1135355)
- 09/1997 - 2000 teeth height 3,5 mm, belt width 27,6 - 28,0 mm (nr 1135354).

Belts are inconvertible, only one situation is permissible: belt nr 1135355 can works instead belt nr 1135354 (if we have not correct belt).
