small oil leak

Postby schott999 » Sat Feb 10, 2018 5:05 pm

hi lads, my mk6 hi top has had a small oil leak for the past 6months and at first look it seemed to be the sump plug washer but when i asked the garage they said it was coming from higher up at the side of the oil filter and coolant bracket, its not losing enough oil to make much difference to the oil level so could it be a gasket of some sort. (theres a spot of oil approx once a week on floor).

If it is it'll need replaced....I wouldn't call it major though.
