Seat Belt Tensioner Circuit causing airbag light

Postby vmackie » Wed Mar 14, 2018 1:00 am

Hi
Apologies if this is covered somewhere, I have tried a search.
I have a 2010 SWB Fwd 2.2 140 and the airbag light is on. Have read codes and it gives drivers side pre tensioner circuit resistance too high.
I have so far replaced seat belt (incl pre tensioner) and cleaned and checked connections to it and also two connectors that are attached to the side of the seat behind panel around seat adjuster handles. Cleared codes and job done. Light out.
Out to van next morning, start up light goes on for check then out,.... then yep, light back on again!!
Can anyone tell me if there are any other connections I should be checking? Have had a look under seat but van has twin batteries and its difficult to follow as its a bit crowded under there! Or anything else I should be doing? (apart from checking the connections that I have already done again)
Thanks.

The pins go to the rcm so unless there's a break in the circuit other than the pretensioner then it must be that or the rcm is faulty

Hi
Thanks for that, the RCM is restraint control module?, do you happen to know where this is located ?

Certainly it's behind the clutch pedal (RHD) you'll see it's a black box with 2 connectors and it'll han AD or AE letters on. :-)
