Tyre Load Ratings - any guides please?

Postby firewalker » Tue May 22, 2018 11:08 am

I've searched the forums but not really found the answer to what load rating my tyres should be?

Its a Mk6 LWB RWD T350 DIY campervan carrying up to 6 passengers.
Tyre sizes are 215/75/16.

Would a budget tyres 111 rating suffice?

Thanks in advance,

Most budget tyres that I've looked at have 114/116 but have seen 113/111 rating on budgets (watch out for retreads, kingpin is one name), so yes 111 are suitable as they have load rating of 1090kgImage

Thanks!
Got new on that are rated at 113/111 - not sure what that means then, but either will do!

The first is for tyre running on a single wheel axel, the second is when fitted to a twin wheel axel,it knocks off from memory 5% of the load rating when running them twin wheel configuration.
