Hi, I need to change the fanbelt (auxiliary drivebelt) tensioner on my Mk 6 Transit (2004, petrol, 2.3 DOHC engine) - there is a loud rattle at certain engine revs, and I suspect a worn bearing on the tensioner pulley.
So, can I just change the pulley, or do I also have to change the tensioner arm? Is there anything special I need to know, or is it just a matter of unbolting and fitting a new pulley wheel? If anyone knows the correct torque settings that would be a help, as no Haynes manual is available for the petrol Transit, and I can't find this info anywhere else.
Thanks in advance for any help.
